Our library received a notice from the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois that there will be an upcoming all-day genealogy conference that will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
The conference will be held at Temple Beth Israel located at 3601 W. Dempster in Skokie, Illinois.
The conference title is “From the Shtetl to the 21st Century”
Here is an overview timeline of the events for the day:
- 8:00 to 9:00 AM Registration and Coffee And
- 9:00 to 9:20 AM Opening Remarks
- 9:20 to 10:20 AM Keynote Speaker Ron Arons
- 10:30 to 11:25 AM Session 1 with 3 choices of programs
- 11:30 to 12:20 PM Session 2 with 3 choices of programs
- 12:30 to 1:50 PM Lunch Time Lecture (Kosher Box Lunch to Be Provided. Ron Arons will present “The Jews of Sing Sing”)
- 2:00 to 2:50 PM Session 3 with 3 choices of programs
- 3:00 to 3:50 PM Session 4 with 3 choices of programs
- 4:00 to 4:50 PM Session 5 with 3 choices of programs
