Hi Everyone!
Michael Mulholland of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library has informed me that his library will be offering two genealogy programs on Saturday, June 9, 2012. One program is titled “Very Beginning Genealogy – From Scratch” that will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The other program being offered is titled “Genealogy Research and Translation Help” that will take place from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Both programs will occur in the library’s Hendrickson Room. Registration for the programs is required by the library.
What follows after the line separator in Italics is the text of the e-mail I received from Michael that provides more description and information about the day’s genealogy programs at the library on that day.

If you are brand new to embarking on researching genealogy, then it sure looks like the first program is truly geared for you to learn the process of researching utilizing a myriad of resources for you to use. Michael Mulholland will present this program.
The second program does not appear to be a speaker-oriented program but rather an open time period for you to seek research help with translating some of your ancestral documents that may be in German, French, Russian, Polish, Swedish and Ukrainian. For many of us not being able to understand our foreign language documents in our possession certainly can hinder our further research. Here is an opportunity to get your documents in the languages above translated so you can move on with your research knowing exactly what the document tells you.
Mark your calendar down for this wonderful set of program at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
If you plan on attending either program you will need to register your intent with the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.
