Time For A New Poll; Current Poll On Favorite Genealogy Journals Is Not Getting Very Many Responses So I Am Closing It Down

Hi Everyone!

I have been looking at the results of the current poll that exists on the blog and to put it bluntly the participation and results for this one have been dismal in comparisons to the previous polls.

To date I have only received about 10 responses on the entire poll over about a 7 week appearance on the blog when previous polls have elicited about 40 to 60 replies.

Yikes!

Maybe it was too complicated with the selection list.  I hope it was not because the readers are not familiar with the journals I selected that are really the core of genealogy journals and simply did not want to comment on a journal for which they did not have an opinion.  I know my reading audience is very intelligent and use genealogy journals to increase their research skills by learning about new things in genealogy via the journals.

So let’s just have a “do over” and eliminate this poll and put up another one that might elicit more responses.

I will put on my thinking cap and see what new poll I can come up that will generate a larger response and be more direct.

I certainly welcome poll suggestions about genealogy from readers of this blog.  Leave a comment on a blog post or use the “Contact” form from the Pages at the top of the blog home page.

Thanks to those that did participate and expressed their views on the most recent poll on genealogy journals.

Keep watching.  Some new poll will appear soon.
