Larry Nerge Returning To Our Library on Sunday, September 26, 2010 for a Program on the Founding Families of Schaumburg from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church

Hi Everyone!

Our Local History librarian has just made me aware that Larry Nerge is coming back to our library on Sunday, September 26, 2010 for a Part 2 presentation on the “founding families” of Schaumburg from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.  Larry visited our library a few years ago and presented us with Part 1 of the “founding families”.  He will expound on more “founding families” in this Part 2 presentation.

Larry is very knowledgeable of these families and he himself is a direct descendant of the “Nerge” family from Schaumburg.

For those of you lucky enough to have already established some direct lineage connection to any of the “founding families” of Schaumburg you may want to consider marking this date down to attend Larry’ program.  You may leave the program knowing even more about your own Schaumburg family or how other “founding families” may have been connected to your own “founding family”.

What follows next in Bold and Italics is a Public Relations description of the event.  Feel free to contact Jane Rozek, our Local History librarian, if you any further questions regarding this upcoming event.

Here is the program description:

Sunday, September 26, 2010
1:00 to 3:00
Rasmussen Room

Join the Schaumburg Township District Library as we welcome back Larry Nerge, genealogist and direct descendant of early German township residents.  He will discuss ten more of the German families who founded St. Peter Lutheran Church.  Information on each family will include their early ancestral line, family photos and relationships with other families within the congregation and township.  A question and answer session will follow the program.  Previous presentations are available for viewing.  For more information, please contact Jane Rozek at 847-923-3331.  Registration is not required.

Enjoy this great program and learn more about who was here 150 years ago that helped move Schaumburg in the direction we all live in today!
