I just received a program notice from the Northwest Suburban Council of Genealogists indicating that their next genealogy program is scheduled for Tuesday evening, April 19, 2011 at 7:30 PM.
The speaker for the evening will be Teresa Steinkamp McMillin. The speaker will present a program titled “Hunting Henry: A Case Study Using Collaterals”.
Teresa is a wonderful genealogy speaker that provides the audience with great presentations. We have had her speak at our library genealogy program on German research. If you have not seen a presentation by Teresa then you have missed out on a great opportunity to advance your research skills. Take the opportunity now to participate in a program being offered by Teresa through the NWSCG.
Researching collaterals is a great way to uncover family history material when you have been having a hard time finding material on your primary research individuals. Discovering material on siblings of the person, friends, neighbors and associates may be the clues you will discover to help your research move further on the primary research person for which you have had no luck discovering information.
