I had a pleasant surprise when I just visited the website for the DuPage County Genealogical Society in Wheaton, IL.
Normally at this time of the year, societies such as DuPage County Genealogical Society are “dormant” for the summer months of June, July and August when their programs are on summer “vacation”.
I have previously seen that this society has not posted its programs for the upcoming “genealogy year” until August, just prior to the start of their new programs.
I was pleasantly surprised that the society has in fact completed its scheduling for the programs for 2011 through 2012! All of these programs for September 2011 through May 2012 are now posted at the society’s website.
During the summer doldrums we may often be at our wit’s end looking for new programs to attend while the societies take the summer months off. Well at least now you can start salivating in anticipation of seeing what will be coming for programs for the DuPage County Genealogical Society for 2011 to 2012!
Please visit the DuPage County Genealogical Society Meetings portion of their website at:
Do your planning now during the “dog days” of summer to reactivate your genealogy “hunger” by attending some of the programs offered by this great society when they start-up again on September 21, 2011.
Also check out the general website to see what the society is all about and what they have accessible on their site:
