Can’t Get Enough of Local Area Genealogy Programs? Consider Attending the “Second Saturday Workshops” Being Offered by the Computer Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois (CAGGNI)

Hi Everyone!

The CAGGNI group uses our library meeting facilities both at our main branch at also occasionally at our branches to have their monthly meetings/programs.

They normally meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at our main library starting at 10:30 AM.

The group has had such great success that the leadership of the group has actually began adding on a “second” monthly program to their meeting/program agenda.  This second “program” is a real bonus for the organization.  It may not occur in every month which is why it is a “bonus”!

So far the group has the following “Second Saturday Workshops” on their agenda:

  • September 10, 2011 – “Creative Memories Digital Scrapbooks”
  • October 8, 2011 – “Getting the Most Out of a Visit to the Newberry Library”

So if you can’t get your fill out of the already existing genealogy programs that occur in our library and elsewhere throughout the Northwest Suburbs, then consider attending one of the “bonus” programs being offered by CAGGNI that meets at our library.

These “bonus” programs meet at the same time on these Saturdays as their normal programs from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at our library.

My hats off to the CAGGNI group and their leadership.

It is not too often that you hear of “bonus” offerings being offered by genealogy groups and societies.

Here is your chance to take advantage of these bonus programs.

Don’t forget to visit the CAGGNI website routinely to see all that is on their upcoming schedule for programs and all kinds of other genealogical help and resources.  Visit their site at:

Enjoy these “bonus” programs and don’t forget to thank the leadership of CAGGNI for this great addition to their program/meeting schedule.
