I just received this notice of a “Super Saturday” Genealogy Event that is going to take place at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The library is located at:
500 N. Dunton Avenue
Arlington Heights, IL 60004
The program will be held in the Hendrickson Room.
Here is the text description in Italics of the program information I received via e-mail from the Arlington Heights Memorial Library:
Genealogy Super Saturday
Event Type: Genealogy
Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Time: 4:00 PM
Library: Arlington Heights Memorial Library
Location: Hendrickson Room
Description: Have a genealogy question? Need a document translated? Join us for a genealogy super Saturday. Translators, ethnic researchers, the DAR and genealogy volunteers will be available to assist you whether you are a beginner or a seasoned researcher. Drop in.
It appears there is no charge to attend this program. Please note that you apparently do NOT need to register in order to attend this “walk-in” session. It looks like you can seek general genealogy assistance or bring in your document needing translations (You may want to contact Michael Mulholland to be sure there would be a translator present for your specific language need!)
It also appears that someone will be there from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to offer information about the society.
You can contact Michael Mulholland, the Genealogy Librarian of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, for any further clarification for this upcoming event.
