Chicago Genealogical Society Has Posted Their Upcoming Genealogy Programs For September 2012 To December 2012 At Their Website

Hi Everyone!

As our hot, hot, hot summer really gets into the “dog days”, maybe now is the time to turn our attention to future genealogy programs in our area.

I just noticed in the recent July/August 2012, Volume 45, Number 1 issue of the Newsletter of the Chicago Genealogical Society, they made mention of their upcoming programs through the balance of 2012, starting in September 2012.

They have these programs posted at their website with a nice long detailed description of their programs from September to December 2012.

Here are the titles of the programs.  Some are noted as “tours”; some are “programs”:

September 8, 2012 – Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary: The United Library (tour)

October 6, 2012 – “Chicago Bus Tour: Dark Alleys of Chicago Family History” (tour)

November 3, 2012 – “History of the US Federal Census” (program)

December 1, 2012 – “Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture” (tour)

Visit the website of the Chicago Genealogical Society at their Calendar of Events section at the following website for more detailed descriptions of the above programs:

Chicago Genealogical Society Calendar of Events – September to December 2012 Programs

Get your genealogy “mojo” ramped up for what is often the start of “genealogy season” that starts in September for many genealogy societies that take the summer off.

See if any of the above programs has a good fit for your own research needs.
