I just received a notice from the Chicago Genealogical Society that lets me know what the balance of their upcoming programs are for 2014. Unfortunately, a couple of the programs have already taken place. There are still the programs upcoming for April, May and June 2014 for you to look at.
Here is a link that shows the material provided to me listing the programs and describing what can be learned from the presentation.
All programs meet at the Newberry Library on the Saturdays noted from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The library is located at 60 W. Walton St in Chicago, IL.
I have also entered the still to take place program events in the “Calendar of Local Genealogy Events” that is part of this blog as a “Page” link at the top of this blog. You can look at the calendar events for the society for other details and a link to Google Maps to help you see where the Newberry Library is located in Chicago.
See if the programs are of interest to you. It might be a great experience to connect with the society and the Newberry Library and pick up some genealogy tips on a Saturday outing to downtown Chicago!
