I have looked at the website for the Illinois State Genealogical Society and noticed they have the brochure for the Illinois State Genealogical Society Fall Conference for 2014. The “theme” title of this event is called “Illinois: Land of Opportunity”. The dates noted are for Friday, October 24, 2014 and Saturday, October 25, 2014. The conference will be held at the Regency Conference Center in O’Fallon, IL. Lodging is being mentioned at the Hilton Garden Inn. O’Fallon, IL is about 290 miles from Chicago and is about a 4 hour 30 minute drive. It is south of Springfield, IL. It is near St. Louis, MO.

Here is a link to what is posted at the website for the Illinois State Genealogical Society regarding information about the upcoming conference:
There will be a total of 5 speakers for the 2 day program. There will be a total of 16 programs taking place over the 2 days from among the 5 total speakers. Take a look at the link at the beginning of this post to the PDF that highlights all of the programs and the biographies of the speakers. The registration forms are included as well as the program costs (not including your hotel costs if you stay). Costs vary as to whether you are a member of the ISGS or not.
The roster of speakers certainly looks good. The variety of the programs looks to have something for everyone that is doing genealogical research.
