I did receive a notice from the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, IL that they will be offering a “Genealogy Day” on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Fountaindale Public Library.
You do need to register in advance with the library in order to attend the program. You can register yourself through the library website below or you can call the library at 630-685-4176 for registration.
You can visit the website of the Fountaindale Public Library District at:
The program is free and open to the public.
The program title is “Movers, Quakers, and Rockbreakers”.
Presentation Titles and Speakers are:
- “Researching Religious Records” by Maureen Brady
- “Digging for Coal Mining Genealogy Resources” by Richard Joyce
- “Gifting Genealogy Research to the Next Generation” by an expert panel led by Mark Hayes
Door Prizes, Society Booths and Photo Restoration will also be part of the program.
You can bring your own “brown-bag” lunch or you can pre-order a sandwich, side and drink from the Brooks Cafe that is a cafe within the library.
Take a look at the “flyer” I received from the library providing information on the program as well as information on ordering your lunch from the Brooks cafe if you choose not to bring in your own brown-bag lunch.
Debra Dudek of the library can be contacted for any further information about the event at firstname.lastname@example.org .
I just wanted to share this opportunity with my readers, especially to those that may be more closely located to the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, IL.
Take the opportunity to participate in this all-day program. Take the time to learn about how to discover your family tree!
