Beginner’s help in genealogy will be offered on the 2nd Thursday evening from March through November 2016 between 7 and 9 PM from volunteers at the library that specialize in genealogy.
Programs are offered to the general public. You do not need a library card that was issued by the Arlington Heights Memorial Library in order to participate in these “help” sessions.
Registration is required in order to participate. You can register through the general website of the library at www.ahml.info. Or you can always call them at 847-392-0100 to express your interest to register or to seek help in registering yourself online.
Here is the “flyer” I received from the library with all the pertinent information on the sessions, library location, dates, library rooms etc. (The first program offered in 2016 in March will actually occur on the 3rd Thursday of the month. This is correct. All of the other programs for the balance of 2016 will be on the 2nd Thursday evening.)
For those of you new to genealogy, this is a great opportunity to seek assistance and learn the process of genealogy to help you in your further research. It is also great that this opportunity for beginning genealogists is open to the public.
Check out the flyer. If you are a beginner at genealogy, see if the day/dates fit your schedule to get some great assistance as you begin your research.
