Looking for a “genealogy fix” during the time our library is closed due to COVID-19? Were you unable to attend our genealogy program in November 2019? Here is your chance to view that program, especially if you were unable to attend in person that evening for the live webinar presented by Thomas MacEntee.
The Thomas MacEntee previously recorded genealogy webinar at our library from November 2019 is now available for viewing from our library’s Calendar of Events, today, April 21, 2020.
The program is titled “One Pass Genealogy: How to Handle a Record Just Once”.
The video will show you how to save record images, transcribe and extract information, and create a quick source citation and more.
Anyone can watch it. You do not need to register for viewing. You do not need to be a cardholder with our library.
Just head to our library’s website at www.schaumburglibrary.org. Select “Events” then “all events” from the tab at the top of the home page. Scroll down just a little and look for “Watch Now – One Pass Genealogy Research”.
Click on the title link that will get you to the next screen containing a description of the webinar.
In the description of the webinar, look for the phrase that is the link to the video that says “Thomas MacEntee presents the One-Pass Approach, etc.”. That link will get you to the video itself.
This recorded webinar was originally held “live” at our library in November 2019.
It will only be available for viewing today.
Enjoy the video. Thomas is a wonderful presenter.
