Tony’s Genealogy Video Tutorials

Hi Everyone!

(Scroll down to see the videos.)  Over the years I have made some genealogy video tutorial screencasts highlighting a variety of genealogy topics and resources that can help you move your research forward.  When created, I generally made a blog post highlighting that newly created tutorial.

They were not necessarily easy to find unless you viewed them when the posting was made at that time.  Otherwise, you would have had to search the blog and make your discoveries with a lot of search work.

I am now consolidating all of those tutorials within this new tutorial page.  All of the YouTube genealogy tutorials I created can now all be viewed under this one page.  Because they are in YouTube, you will be able to play the video directly within this page.  You will not have to leave the blog to view the video.

The most recently published video should be the first in order.  Each succeeding video will then be the next most recently published.  The last video in the list will be the most oldest video published.  The title/topic of the video is easily discovered within the YouTube title of the video.

This new page and the order of the videos should make it that much easier for you check out what tutorials already exist plus allow you to see what has been the most recently created.

(Please note that the oldest 3 videos in the list were created before the redesign of our current webpage.  So our webpage in the video will not look like our current webpage.  However, the content of me explaining the database or my blog is still meaningful and accurate.)

Enjoy the videos.

Please note that the following video was created prior to the redesign of our library’s website and how databases are accessed.  The website in the video does not look like our current one.  However, the contents of the video showing you how to use America’s Obituaries and Death Notices is still good.

To access the above database from within our newly redesigned website you go to our main page at http://www.schaumburglibrary.org, hover the cursor overs “Services”, select “Genealogy”, then scroll down a little to see the list of databases where you can select the above.
